Every other C8 exhaust sounds like a Camaro. This one sounds like it costs six figures.
✔ Equal-length headers + twin-loop crossover — exotic pitch, not muscle-car burble · ✔ Valve control: quiet on your street, unhinged in the tunnel · ✔ Hand-TIG welded T304 stainless throughout
Hear It — Build YoursWHY IT SOUNDS DIFFERENT
Tuned for pitch. Not for rumble.
Every other C8 kit chases a deep muscle-car burble. We chased the exact opposite.
THE HONEST COMPARISON
Only one of these was tuned for pitch

BEFORE YOU BUILD
What C8 owners ask before they order
Does it actually sound like a Z06?
Not identical — and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something. The Z06 sound comes from an LT6 flat-plane crank, and no exhaust can change your Stingray’s firing order. What we can change is everything the factory does to flatten and muffle your LT2. Equal-length headers even out the pulses, the twin-loop crossover kills the low burble, and the free-flow downpipes stop choking the top end. The result is the high, hard, European pitch people mistake for a six-figure car — not the Camaro rumble every other C8 kit gives you. It is the closest a Stingray gets to Z06 character without the Z06 badge, the Z06 price or the Z06 waitlist.
I’ve searched for months. Why does every other C8 exhaust sound like a muscle car?
Because they were designed by muscle-car companies. Most C8 exhausts are scaled-up Camaro and Mustang kits — big straight-through mufflers tuned to maximise low-frequency rumble, because that’s what sells to V8 buyers. The C8 isn’t that car. It’s mid-engine, it revs to 6,500, and it looks like it belongs in Maranello. We built the system for the car you actually bought.
How loud is it with the valves closed?
Civil. Deeper and cleaner than factory, but you can cold-start at 6am and leave your street without becoming the neighbourhood problem. Open the valves and there is nothing between the combustion chamber and the tips. Two cars, one exhaust, switchable at a stoplight — the tunnel decides.
Is this street legal?
The free-flow downpipes remove the factory catalytic converters, which makes this system off-road and track use only in the United States. It is not legal for use on emissions-controlled vehicles on public roads. Check your state and local law before ordering.
Why are there gold marks around the welds?
That’s heat tint, and it’s the mark of a real hand-laid TIG weld. When stainless is welded by hand the metal either side of the bead oxidises into a straw-gold band. Machine-welded or robot-bent systems don’t show it. We don’t polish it off — it’s proof a person built your exhaust, not a jig.
The C8 Exhaust That Doesn’t Sound Like a Camaro
Equal-length headers, twin-loop crossover and free-flow downpipes tuned for high-rpm pitch — hand-TIG welded T304 stainless throughout. Valve remote included. The closest a Stingray gets to Z06 character.
